Eye/I
First attempt at editing myself. Second dance film production award from OFVM (2008). Based on an idea for a live performance using projection which I had whilst living in Indonesia. (this piece is still waiting to be made).
The film ended up being about adjusting to life and to myself back in this country in the place were I was brought up, far away from Indonesia and the relationship that had kept me there.
Music is by Malcolm Atkins and by Ria Soemardjo (whose Indonesian heritage and experience of living in another country seemed to chime with how I was feeling). Other sounds are from camera recordings.
